## Getting started with lilis

Your first workspace begins with the work your business already receives and the people responsible for it.

## Start with the business as it already works.

The first setup captures the people, services, hours, and approval boundaries already guiding the day. The system grows from that real operating context.

## Before the first message

- Confirm the organization profile, services, locations, and hours
- Invite the people who will review work
- Connect only the communication channels you are ready to use
- Review the initial approval boundaries

Most businesses forward their email to an address we set up. That is one forwarding rule in whatever you already use. You can also connect a mailbox directly with an app password.

> Direct mailbox connection does not work with Microsoft 365. Microsoft retired the sign-in method it depends on and there is no setting to turn it back on. If you are on Microsoft 365, forwarding is the path, and it works well.

## What you will see first

The inbox leads with the action that needs a person. Open the supporting activity only when you need the message, evidence, transcript, or previous outcome.

Each item shows what lilis understood and what it proposes to do. You approve, edit, or reject.

## During the first month

Day one will feel busy. lilis does not know your business yet, so more things come to you. That is the system being careful rather than confident.

We tune the operating context with you as real work moves through it. Questions and corrections are useful inputs, not failures to hide.

- Approve or reject everything, even quickly. The corrections are what make it useful.
- When a draft is nearly right, edit and send rather than rejecting outright.
- If you find yourself making the same correction three times, tell us. That is usually a rule or a procedure that should be written down.

## Common questions

**Does lilis send immediately?**
No. Outbound work waits for human approval unless a later, explicit policy says otherwise.

**Can we start with one channel?**
Yes. Connections should be enabled deliberately and can expand as the organization is ready.
